March 14, 2025
The Walmart Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas, has reopened following a comprehensive renovation, now featuring an innovative AI-powered hologram of founder Sam Walton. This interactive exhibit allows visitors to engage in lifelike conversations with Walton, who responds using his own words sourced from his autobiography, Made in America, and archival recordings. The hologram is housed in a dedicated experience room within the museum's expanded gallery space.
Developed through a collaboration between StoryFile and Proto, the hologram utilizes advanced conversational video technology to provide an immersive educational experience. Visitors can ask questions about Walmart's history, business philosophy, and Walton's personal insights, receiving authentic responses that reflect his legacy.
The museum's renovation has doubled its exhibit space, restored the historic Terry Block building, and added new features such as an educational room and interactive displays. The inclusion of the Sam Walton hologram exemplifies Walmart's commitment to blending tradition with innovation, offering guests a unique opportunity to connect with the company's roots through cutting-edge technology
